Issue #2 of First Bend continues the serialisation of Phil Drackett’s 1951 publication ‘SPEEDWAY.’
 This amazing book gives us a great idea how the sport was run in the early days after the war years and takes you right through everything about the sport you would want to know, and to be fair, what you wouldn’t want to know too!
 It’s a great insight into the workings of the sport and comes in colour with photos in this issue from those published in the book and a couple of our own as we pay tribute to two speedway greats who lost their lives on the track - 30s sensation Tom Farndon and 70s heartthrob, swede Tommy Jansson.
